Every 4th of July party I attended served up hamburgers. Some were store bought and others home made. I love them both, I mean can you ever get tired of the backyard hamburger? As experimental creator of food I tend to lean toward the home made variety and today I have my tried and true home made hamburger patty recipe.
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 large egg
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Steps:
In a mixing bowl add the ground beed, egg, bread crumbs, Worcestershire, garlic, salt and pepper.
Blend with your hands - I know this isn't for everyone but it truly is the best way to mix your ingredients together.
Once your mixture is well blended divide into patties about 4 inches wide.
Cook on a grill for 8 minutes turning once.
The great thing about the hamburger patty is you can change your recipe, add ingredients like guacamole or onion rings bringing a new spin to your backyard party. No one will ever get tired of your creations.
What do you like to add to your patty in the mixture or on the patty? Drop it in the comments.
